Baked-Cheese filled-Angel hair pastry in syrup

 

Preparation:

 

Unlike other desserts, this one is served warm and prepared upon order. The special copper plates are smeared with Uludağ’s special butter and then the pastry is broken up and a layer is placed in the plate. Then a layer of special, unsalted kunefe cheese is added. Next, another layer of pastry is added over the cheese, all of the layers are gently pressed down. On a low heat, once the bottom is lightly browned, then the dessert is flipped to brown the top. Warm syrup is poured to the hot dessert. It may be served with pistachios, cream or ice cream as desired.
