Baked Rice Pudding



  •  Rice
  • Water
  • Milk
  • Vanilla
  • Sugar
  • Egg Yolk 




Rinse and drain the rice, then let it soak in warm water for a half an hour. On low heat, with plenty of water, cook the rice until it soaks up all of the water. Then cook until the rice is soft with milk, vanilla and sugar. Once the rice is soft, boil for another four or five minutes while stirring. Wisk the egg yolk in a bowl and then add to the rice pudding, let it boil once more and then remove from heat. Split the rice pudding into serving bowls and place on an oven tray. Fill tray with water, enough to come up about a half way up the bowls. Place tray in a hot oven until the rice pudding is pink on top.
